- If your pup uses their collar to collect mud, dirt, grass, etc. you can use a mild, pet-safe soap (like Dawn or dog shampoo) mixed with warm water, and rub it with a soft cloth or toothbrush to avoid damaging the leather
- Rinse off the collar after they've gone into saltwater to protect the life of the leather
- Air dry
